Charlotte Richards is the Artistic Director Of InspirAsian. Graduating with a degree in Dance and Related Arts and a PGCE. With a fascination of all things Indian, she visited the sub-continent to further her interest in the culture including Yoga and Dance. She formed InspirAsian Dance in 2008 in Bristol, both to perform and teach Indian dance and Yoga. 

  Charlotte started her career in Indian Dance Performance with The Dancing Nikita Company in 2005. At this time she was fortunate to attend  Kathak Dance training with Pratap Pawar, Shila Mehta and even the late Pandit Birju Maharaj. However, the main teacher/ mentor in learning Kathak, has been with Nikita Thakrar of DNC Studios. 

  Teaching Hot Yoga since 2013 at Breathe Health and Fitness Studio based in Truro, has enabled many teaching opportunities; the Eden Project, Surya Yoga Camp and one-off workshops around Cornwall. Charlotte now teaches Yoga which is based on ancient practices including asanas and pranayama for all ages and abilities using sound and music.

   Hula-hoop Dance training with Circo Kernow in 2011 enabled Charlotte to teach Hula-hoop for all ages, at a wide variety of events including weekly classes at Truro College. Fire hula-hoop and Fire Dance are also part of InspirAsian's repertoire. Charlotte is also trained in Henna Art and sources only natural Henna cones.

  InspirAsian is based in the South-West and attends many events including annual festivals, corporate and community events as well as fundraisers work in Education. 

Charlotte works with a team of Performers, Workshop leaders and Artists based in Cornwall. Covering locations throughout the South-West, and beyond!
